Recap of March 5th Candidate’s Forum

Thank you to all of our residents that attended the March 5th Candidate’s Forum.  We had a great turnout.  We especially wish to thank Fire Station 60 once again for their hospitality.   The firehouse is a great place to hold our community events!

From the Sacramento Police Department, Police Chief Sam Somers & Deputy Police Chief Ken Bernard discussed the new patrol areas, giving College-Glen neighborhood better police coverage, and the topic of a possible pilot program in our area regarding security cameras.

Deputy Fire Chief Michael Bartley and Fire Captain Cathy Russell were in attendance to discuss the importance of smoke alarms.

Assemblymember Kevin McCarty and Senator Dr. Richard Pan talked on the topic of childhood immunizations, as well as moderated the Q & A portion of the forum with the candidates.
