The Association has asked that Councilmember Guerra have the appropriate staff at the CGNA Annual Meeting to address the following community issues, needs and concerns:

 

  • Overnight parking of campers and recreational vehicles on La Riviera under the Howe Ave over pass.
  •  Illegal camping in the brush areas along La Riviera, behind Stingers, along the Howe Ave. off ramp, the Occidental Overpass between Bennington Way and Mediterranean Way and the undeveloped area under the WAPA power lines on Wissemann Drive.
  •  Bike speed and related safety issues along the American River Bike Trail on the south side of the river between College Town and La Riviera.
  •  Bike riders refusing to stop at the intersections of La Riviera & Occidental, Mediterranean & Occidental, and Bennington & Occidental.
  •  Outline of the process for securing a dog park for small dogs at the existing Glenbrook Dog Park.
  •  Scavengers, abandoned shopping carts, homeless and general deterioration of Folsom Boulevard the College Greens Shopping Center and the area around the center.
