Chief Somers & Station 60 Firefighters Attend January CGNA Meeting

Sacramento Chief of Police Sam Somers Jr., police department staff, and the Station 60 Firefighters joined the College-Glen Neighborhood Association at their January meeting. Chief Somers spoke about the new Patrol District 6E which includes College Greens and Glenbrook. The Chief answered questions about area issues including ways to avoid being a victim and what to do if you are a victim. Also attending were Kevin Gardner, Area 6 Captain; Lieutenant Alisa Buckley who is leaving our area to be the Lieutenant for the City’s Major Crime Division in the Office of Investigations; Lieutenant Glen Faulkner who is on special assignment dealing with city issues; Bob McCloskey the new Lieutenant for Area 6E; and the SPD Social Media Coordinator Jena Swafford.

Following the discussions related to crime and our new service area the Chief answered questions related to the City’s Nextdoor.com program and agreed to attend our March 8th Community Forum to talk about the benefits of the new Patrol Area 6E and provide an update on his effort to get residents to participate in the City’s Nextdoor.com program.
